Finally! After a series of courses
such as the bidding of budget,
designs and others per establishment,
the institute has started the
construction, rehabilitation, extension
and reconstruction of infrastructure
projects this year 2017.
Expected 11 new infraprojects
will rise in the PIT grounds,
Vice-President for Administration Dr.
Rolando C. Entoma said.
These infra-projects include
the extension of the college buildings
which is scheduled to start on
the second quarter of this academic
year, construction of the two-storey
College of Advanced Education
(CAEd) building which is arranged
to start by February depending on
the contractor and targeted to be
finished by September this year,
construction of the College of Arts
and Sciences (CAS) building, College
of Education (COED) building
and the two-storey Academic
building, rehabilitation of the Sports
Complex or the improvement of the
oval, construction of the Student
Services Center which is still a subject
for consultation with the Office
of Student Affairs (OSA) Director,
repair of the gymnasium, construction
of the Guest House, Information
and Technology Center, Research
and Development Center and multipurpose
covered court.
Improvement and repair of
facilities such as the Comfort rooms
will also be incorporated.
As of now, the institute
has finally started the construction,
reconstruction and rehabilitation of
some infrastructures such as the
CAS building which is already on
its underway. Most likely, in a year
or two, students will begin taking
classes in the institute’s new college
buildings.
The realization of these
infra-projects is a dream come true
for many faculty and students who
have been looking forward to a better
learning experience.
The hopeful Dr. Entoma said,
“We can’t finish these by 2017 but
at least we can start the projects by
2017.”
